Epic Mario

Zachary Pollock has developed a Kickstarter project, hoping to raise funds for a super-sized Super Mario mosaic.  Specifically, it would picture the entirety of level 1-1 from Super Mario Brothers.  Here is a small section of the mosaic (only 1/60th the size of what the final product would be):

The final mosaic would be over 6 feet tall and an amazing 90 feet long, and would contain about 780,000 studs.  It would be on display at various conventions throughout the next year.

You can find out more information about this project at Zachary's Kickstarter site or his blog.  Kickstarter projects employ an all-or-nothing funding system.  This project will be funded if it raises $26,400 by May 10.

Thanks to Zipblock for the heads up.

(Also, my apologies for the lack of recent posts.  I've been involved in some projects that are taking up a lot of my time.)
